It is important the the best candidates be chosen for interviews. I am high trained in matching job specifications to potential candidates. I have a “keen eye” for talent reading the written word. I make it my job to review all resumes and cover letters thoroughly.
Setting up Pre-Interviews
Often it is a time saver for employers to Pre-Interview candidates. Time is precious to employers. I can set up for specific and direct questions for potential candidates that screen them in or out for general interviews. These are generally conducted by telephone or electronic. I will design the questions, schedule the pre-interviews, conduct the pre-interviews, and make recommendations to the employer.
Preparing for the interview can be time consuming. I can gather all the necessary documents, prepare questions, copy all the materials necessary for the interviewers, and prepare an agenda for the interview process. As well, I can design an evaluation process for assessing candidates in a standard manner. I am a specialist in designing questions (general, performance and behaviour) that probe into a candidates background. It is essential that employers gather all the information necessary to make decisions about hiring the right candidate. All too often, the candidate answers the questions asked, however, the questions were poorly developed, and the employer does not get the information required to make the best decision. We can participate in the interview process as an external interviewer offering an unbiased and professional opinion about hiring. I do not make hiring decisions, only recommendations. I am skilled at observing candidate behaviour at interviews, and can bring a value-added skill to the interview process.
These checks assist the employer in finding information about the candidate from previous employers. An employer gains insight into the candidates skills, knowledge and experience from people who have work with and observed the candidate perform on the job. Reference checks can be timing consuming; and our consultants can take this burden away from employers.
